Peel Season!

It's officially peel season! Although you can choose to get a chemical peel any time of the year, the best times to book your appointment are during fall and winter. I am a provider of The Perfect Derma Peel, a medical grade chemical peel with a blend of powerful ingredients including TCA, Kojic Acid, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C, and antioxidant Glutathione.

I know it may seem like a big commitment to peel, but the results are so worth it. Chemical Peels exfoliate the top dead layers of skin to reveal healthy, new skin cells and a fresher, more refined complexion.

What you need to know about your peel:

  • Avoid sweating during your healing process. Peels cause a controlled, minor injury to the skin to stimulate the growth of healthy new skin cells. For this reason, it’s ideal to avoid sweating or heating your skin, as the peel application caused temporary inflammation and you don’t want to make it worse. You can safely practice gentle yoga (no hot yoga!), stretch or take a walk, etc. as long as you don’t break a sweat.

  • Since you will not apply any products after the peel application (not even SPF), it’s a good idea to wear a big hat on your drive home or back to the office.

  • Come to your appointment with a bare face.

  • Prepare yourself with some small eyebrow scissors to be able to cut off the dead skin as it peels, some aquaphor, and don't forget to purchase your gentle gel cleanser from me day of peel- SPF is included with your peel.

  • It takes typically 7 days to completely heal from your chemical peel. Day 1 is the day you get your peel. I recommend scheduling your days off work to land on days 4-6 if possible.

I'm so excited to have you in for your peel this season! Please reach out if you have any questions.
